Deadlines extended for teacher training

I got everything I needed from the training and was equipped to take that back out into real life.”

Alumni of Sussex Mindfulness Centre’s teacher training

In these straitened times, we are delighted to say that all of our mindfulness teacher training courses are going ahead next year. That’s the teacher training for Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, the adapted mindfulness interventions and the top-up training. There’s still some spaces on all of these, so our deadlines have been extended until the end of the year.

Why not train to teach mindfulness with one of the leading centres in the UK? You can find out about our teacher training here. And you can find out what training is right for you here. Find out what past participants have said about the training.

Uniquely, we offer you the chance to teach alongside an experienced teacher as part of your training. This takes you closer to being able to apply for registration as a teacher with British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA).

We are in embedded in the NHS, but you don’t have to have a clinical or psychotherapy background to train to teach with us.

We offer a mix of in-person and online training, so it means you can participate fully whether or not you are local.

If you are interested in applying let us know soonest so we can accommodate you, and arrange an interview if that’s relevant to the course you are applying for. If you have queries drop us a line at smc@spft.nhs.uk. And we can arrange a call with a member of staff if that would be useful.
