We now offer introductory courses and one-off free sessions to give you a flavour of mindfulness. These courses and tasters are informative and practical, and they may help you decide if you want to take mindfulness further.
Mindfulness tasters
If you are considering taking a mindfulness course, a taster session is for you. This session will introduce you to the benefits of practicing mindfulness. Benefits include improved wellbeing and ability to manage stress.

Moment to pause – Free online lunchtime mindfulness session
This one-hour lunch-time session will give you a pause in the day to experience the benefits of practising mindfulness. You will be guided through the basic principles of mindfulness and will sample a range of different practices. Over time these practices can help you build the capacity to experience life differently. Bring your lunch for the mindfulness eating exercise.
Introduction to mindfulness
In this ‘introduction to mindfulness’ run over three weeks, you will learn what mindfulness is and you will try out a number of mindfulness practices. In the weekly one-hour sessions you will hear about some of the research into mindfulness, find out how to anchor your experience in the present moment, work with mind wandering and learn how to be kinder to yourself.
This is an excellent opportunity to get a meaningful taste of what mindfulness has to offer, and you may decide to take it further.
Finding Peace in a Frantic World
The programme is based on the best-selling book, Mindfulness: a Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World, by Mark Williams and Danny Penman.
Participants will take themselves through the eight-week course outlined in the book. They will be supported with three-live sessions over the eight weeks, from an experienced mindfulness teacher. The online sessions are at the start, the middle and the end of the eight-week programme.
