Mindfulness teaching is a deeply rewarding practice—and also a demanding one. At the Sussex Mindfulness Centre, we’re committed to supporting teachers in sustaining the integrity, depth, and personal nourishment that underpin high‑quality mindfulness work.
We offer one‑to‑one supervision for mindfulness teachers, designed to provide a reflective, safe, and professionally held space to explore your teaching, practice, and ongoing development.
Why supervision matters
Supervision is an essential part of maintaining good practice as a mindfulness teacher and of maintaining your registration as a BAMBA-registered teacher. It offers a place to:

- Support your wellbeing as a practitioner and teacher
Our supervisors are experienced mindfulness teachers, trained in mindfulness supervision, grounded in the values of compassion, authenticity, and integrity.
Who supervision is for
Our supervision can be offered 1:1 or in a group and is suitable for:
- Teachers trained in MBSR, MBCT, and related mindfulness programmes
- Trainee teachers seeking ongoing support as they develop their skills
- Whether you are newly qualified or have been teaching for many years, supervision can help you stay connected to the heart of your practice.
What you can expect
Supervision sessions typically include:
- Space to reflect on recent teaching
- Exploration of themes arising in your groups or individual work
- Support with curriculum fidelity and adaptations
- Inquiry into your own practice and embodiment
- Guidance on maintaining ethical and trauma‑sensitive approaches
Sessions are offered online or in person, depending on your needs and the availability of your supervisor.
