Fierce Self-Compassion teacher training practicum

28 January 2027 at 16:00 to 19:00

This teacher training practicum is for Mindful Self-Compassion teachers who want to develop the skills to teach the Fierce Self-Compassion course.

Overview

This six-week online training will deepen your understanding, familiarity and confidence with the content, structure, tone, and pacing of the Fierce Self-Compassion course. After the successful completion of this training you can teach the Fierce Self-Compassion course to the general public.

Training to teach Fierce Self-Compassion means you can empower others toward taking protective, action-oriented steps to change harmful situations, both for themselves and others. You may be a Mindful Self-Compassion teacher who wants to expand your portfolio of courses to deliver, or you may simply want to deepen your own capacity for the “mother bear” or yang energy that’s needed as part of working with groups or one to one.

Who is this course for?

The course is for Mindful Self-Compassion teachers with either trained teacher or certified teacher status.

When?

Thursday afternoons from 4pm to 7pm. This six-week course starts on Thursday 28 January and runs until 4 March 2027, without a break.

Where?

Online. Once your place is confirmed, you will get Zoom log-in details, usually two weeks before the course starts.

The format of the course?

This is where theory becomes practice. The Fierce Self-Compassion Practicum has been developed and designed by a group of senior Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) teachers with the specific intention of providing opportunities to begin to practice the teaching skills required with each other in a safe, structured environment. Each session will offer opportunities to practice teaching core components of the Fierce Self-Compassion course and to receive feedback from the trainers.

Each three-hour session will include a fifteen minute break. Between sessions, you will be expected to prepare, through meditation and reading, to teach an allocated part of the curriculum. Additional resources and tips will be sent by email after each class.
