Mindful Self-Compassion teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to challenges and difficult emotions with care and understanding.
The residential “Teaching Presence in Relationship” teacher training retreat, is designed to prepare teachers of mindfulness-based programmes to teach the Interpersonal Mindfulness Programme. This residential training course will take place at the Ammerdown Retreat Centre in Somerset, near Bath, from 21 to 30 October 2027.
This retreat will support a deepening of participants’ mindfulness practice using the framework of the four foundations of mindfulness (satipatthana) and the four Divine Abidings (brahma vihara).
A one-day mindfulness retreat, including meditation practices, creative expression and journaling, that will be held mostly in silence. Experience of creative expression is not necessary. Background to the day This day builds on the positive responses from offering a similar event last year. We realised from last year’s experience that there was a real hunger, both for connecting with our creativity and also for engaging with mindfulness and compassion practices in ways that keep us freshly discovering ourselves.
